As a Senior Consultant Commerce und Retail Media at WPP Media, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and developing innovative e-commerce strategies for our top advertising clients. Your primary responsibilities will include providing comprehensive client consultation and designing strategies focused on data and analytics, organic optimization, and paid media for marketplaces, retail, and webshops. You will be responsible for building, optimizing, and monitoring distribution strategies for webshops, direct-to-consumer channels, and marketplaces such as Amazon, REWE, dm, Kaufland, Otto, and MMS. Additionally, you will identify potential existing and new clients, foster their long-term development, and secure optimal market positions and conditions. Analyzing markets, competitors, and digital point-of-sale visibility, you will derive data-driven recommendations using our Commerce Insights Suite and reporting dashboards. You will also plan and manage strategic, interdisciplinary projects, collaborating closely with management and relevant teams such as data, creative, paid media, and organic. Driving e-commerce innovations, you will monitor trends in automation, AI, and new media, actively contributing both internally and externally, and conduct internal and external e-commerce training sessions.
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in retail media (on/offsite), marketplace management, direct-to-consumer strategies, webshop optimization, social commerce, programmatic advertising, performance marketing, and the integration of online and offline channels (e.g., DOOH at POS). You should have significant professional experience in a similar role or in managing e-commerce platforms. Proficiency in common project management, e-commerce, and online marketing tools, particularly Amazon, AMC, The Trade Desk, and Criteo, is essential. A strong numerical and data understanding for eRetail audits and holistic reporting is required, along with experience in optimizing content, support, AI, and data analyses for organic marketplace growth. High customer orientation, strong communication skills, and presentation confidence are crucial. Fluency in German at a native level and proficiency in English are also necessary.
