Senior CyberSecurity Engineer I/II
Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer I/II to join our Space Systems team in Long Beach, CA. This role is integral to designing, implementing, and maintaining the security infrastructure for SDA programs, ensuring the protection of our IT assets in a rapidly evolving space industry.
The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for developing and managing security solutions across networks, servers, and applications. Key duties include conducting security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate risks. The role also involves developing and enforcing security policies and responding to security incidents with detailed analysis and remediation.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. For the Senior Cybersecurity Engineer I position, a minimum of 5 years of experience in system security engineering is required, while the Senior Cybersecurity Engineer II position requires at least 8 years of experience. Relevant certifications such as Security+, Cloud+, CISSP, CISM, or CEH are necessary. Proficiency in security frameworks like NIST 800 and ISO 27001, as well as experience with security tools and cloud security, is essential. U.S. citizenship and an active Secret Clearance are mandatory due to program requirements.
Rocket Lab offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $175,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
