Senior Data Engineer, Data Foundation— AI-Ready Data Products

The Senior Data Engineer will join Komodo Health's Data Foundations team, focusing on developing core data products that power the Healthcare Map. This role is pivotal in transforming extensive healthcare datasets into reliable and efficient data assets that support both customer-facing applications and internal innovations. By enhancing foundational data systems, the engineer will contribute to improving health outcomes across the industry.

Key responsibilities include building and optimizing large-scale data pipelines using Python, SQL, Airflow, and distributed processing frameworks. The engineer will transform complex healthcare claims and EHR datasets into trusted data products, ensuring pipeline reliability through quality checks and monitoring. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to translate healthcare data needs into scalable technical solutions.

Candidates should have experience with healthcare data, including coding systems like ICD-10 and CPT. Proficiency in building and debugging production-grade data pipelines, advanced Python and SQL skills, and familiarity with Spark or similar frameworks are required. Experience with AWS, strong data quality instincts, and effective communication skills are also necessary.

The position offers a competitive salary, with annual base pay ranging from $176,000 to $207,000 in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City, and $153,000 to $180,000 in other U.S. locations.
