Senior DevOps
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Archer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's infrastructure strategy, emphasizing automation, stability, and performance across both cloud and on-premise environments. Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California, dedicated to building all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with the mission to advance sustainable air mobility. The team is committed to designing, manufacturing, and operating aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.
In this role, your primary responsibilities will include designing, deploying, and managing highly available, scalable infrastructure using Kubernetes and Docker across public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure, as well as on-premise data centers. You will develop and maintain robust configuration management solutions using tools like Ansible and Terraform to ensure consistent environment provisioning and management. Additionally, you will implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid, reliable, and automated software releases, and administer and troubleshoot operating systems, encompassing both Linux and Windows environments.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of professional experience in a DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering role. Deep expertise in containerization and orchestration, specifically with Kubernetes and Docker, is essential. Strong proficiency in managing infrastructure in both cloud and on-premise environments, along with expert-level administration skills in Linux and a solid working knowledge of Windows Server environments, are required. Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools, as well as high proficiency in scripting and automation using Python and Bash, are also necessary. Experience with monitoring and observability platforms, especially Datadog, and hands-on experience deploying and managing technologies related to Large Language Models (LLMs) are highly desirable.
Archer offers a competitive base salary ranging from $133,400 to $200,000, with actual compensation determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
