Senior Director, Internal Audit
Braze is seeking a Senior Director of Internal Audit to lead and evolve its global Internal Audit functions. This strategic role involves balancing operational efficiency with rigorous independence, reporting administratively to the CFO and functionally to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. The position is pivotal in safeguarding Braze's integrity and providing strategic advice to leadership.
Key responsibilities include owning the Internal Audit charter, developing a multi-year audit plan, and executing a comprehensive operational and risk-based audit program to evaluate business processes and internal controls. The role also involves scaling a high-performing global audit team, building and scaling a continuous monitoring and AI-enabled testing program, overseeing the audit lifecycle using Jira and Agile methodologies, and managing the end-to-end SOX assurance testing lifecycle. Additionally, the Senior Director will partner with the Legal organization to facilitate the quarterly ERM program and collaborate with Technology and Legal teams on AI, Cybersecurity, and Data Privacy initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of progressive experience in Internal Audit, including at least 5 years in a leadership role within a public SaaS company or Big 4 firm. Essential qualifications include a deep understanding of SOX compliance (sections 302 and 404), experience with Cybersecurity and Privacy audits (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) within a cloud-native environment, and familiarity with AI governance frameworks. A CPA, CIA, or CISA certification is required, along with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, or a related field.
