Senior Director, New Verticals Sales
Flex, a rapidly growing FinTech company headquartered in New York City, is revolutionizing the rent payment experience by offering flexible payment schedules that align with users' financial needs. As part of its expansion strategy, Flex is seeking a Senior Director of New Verticals Sales to lead the company's entry into new, non-discretionary payment sectors such as insurance, homeowners associations (HOAs), utilities, and automotive payments. This role is pivotal in identifying and establishing groundbreaking enterprise partnerships that will define Flex's growth in these emerging markets.
The Senior Director will be responsible for proactively identifying and securing strategic enterprise partners for Flex's embedded Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) offerings within uncharted payment verticals. Key responsibilities include developing and managing a robust pipeline of high-value opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with C-level executives at prospective partner organizations, negotiating complex partnership agreements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to influence product development and go-to-market strategies. Additionally, the role involves leading partnerships from agreement through technical deployment and successful launch, ensuring seamless execution and long-term partnership success.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in strategic partnerships or enterprise sales within high-growth FinTech environments, with a focus on new market entry and product adoption. A proven track record of defining and executing growth strategies, sourcing and closing first-of-kind opportunities, and influencing executive-level stakeholders is essential. Strong financial and legal acumen, leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment are also critical. A bachelor's degree is required, with an MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
Flex offers a competitive compensation package, with on-target earnings (OTE) ranging from $272,000 to $400,000, depending on the candidate's location and experience. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, company equity, a 401(k) plan with company match, unlimited paid time off, parental leave, and a free Flex subscription. The company also provides relocation assistance for candidates moving to New York City or San Francisco.
At Flex, employees are part of a dynamic and inclusive culture that values intelligence, curiosity, determination, empathy, and self-awareness. With a focus on building an inclusive environment, Flex offers growth opportunities and the chance to be part of a mission-driven team dedicated to transforming the rent payment experience.
