Senior Director, Platform Engineering
As the Senior Director of Platform Engineering at Lighthouse, you will lead our core engineering centers of excellence, including Frontend, Backend, and DevOps teams. Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), you will be instrumental in shaping the foundational architecture of our products and integrating newly acquired businesses into our ecosystem. Your leadership will ensure our technical strategies are scalable, future-proof, and prepared for AI-driven development.
In this role, you will drive the technology strategy for Lighthouse's internal developer platform, focusing on scalability, velocity, and standardization across all engineering squads. You will define technical foundations to make our codebases and platforms AI-ready, enabling AI-first application development. Leading and mentoring a multidisciplinary team of engineers, you will oversee the design and operation of critical technical infrastructures, including global cloud infrastructure and high-throughput CI/CD pipelines. Additionally, you will champion a holistic Service Maturity framework, setting standards for engineering excellence across the organization.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned engineering leader with experience scaling Platform, DevOps, or Foundation teams in a high-growth SaaS environment. You should have a proven track record of managing managers and guiding large-scale technical organizations. A product-minded strategist, you treat the internal developer platform as a product and balance technical excellence with business impact. Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills are essential, as is the ability to align goals across different departments to achieve unified strategic outcomes.
