Senior Electrical Engineer (TEMPEST)
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in Electromagnetic Interference/Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMI/EMC) to join our expanding team in Reston, Virginia. This role focuses on leading EMI/EMC design initiatives for our cutting-edge products, ensuring they meet stringent electromagnetic compatibility standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs and conduct comprehensive EMI/EMC testing throughout the product lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include evaluating high-speed digital, precision analog, RF, and high-power designs for EMI/EMC compliance. The engineer will utilize EMC simulation tools to predict and analyze electromagnetic performance, integrate EMI/EMC considerations into product designs, and drive product maturity through rapid prototyping and design verification. Additional duties involve conducting tests to assess electromagnetic emissions and susceptibility, troubleshooting performance issues, and defining EMI/EMC design guidelines and best practices.
The position requires a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in designing hardware products for EMI/EMC compliance. Candidates should possess knowledge of EMI/EMC test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and antennas, a strong mathematical background for driving EMI/EMC simulation tools, and familiarity with standard interfaces like Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, and USB. Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, experience with Altium Designer or equivalent E-CAD tools, and the ability to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance are also essential.
The salary range for this role is $146,000 to $194,000 USD annually.
