The Senior Electromechanical Engineer will be a key member of Anduril Industries' Connected Warfare team, focusing on modernizing command-and-control systems for U.S. and Allied forces. This role involves integrating advanced electrical and mechanical components into cutting-edge defense products, contributing to the development of systems that enhance battlefield intelligence and operational effectiveness.
Key responsibilities include owning the integration of power, control, and harnessing subsystems into finished products, designing hardware such as enclosures, electronics packaging, bus bars, and cable assemblies, and delivering conceptual-level harness routing schemes. The engineer will collaborate closely with electrical and harness engineers to implement and test complex electrical systems, work daily with a tight-knit product team, and travel to exercises to support and gather feedback from warfighters. Additionally, the role involves iterating on designs and working with the manufacturing team to document, build, and deliver products at scale.
Candidates must have a proven track record of integrating electrical components into mechanical assemblies, experience with cabling design and harness integration for rugged use, and high competence with engineering first principles. A minimum of 5 years of professional engineering experience is required, along with strong CAD skills and the ability to produce high-quality engineering drawings. A BS, M.Eng, MS, or PhD in an engineering field is necessary, and applicants must be U.S. Persons due to access to export-controlled information or facilities.
Preferred qualifications include experience selecting and integrating ruggedized and MIL-spec connectors (D38999 or similar), familiarity with common electrical interfaces (USB, CAN, Ethernet, etc.), knowledge of EMI shielding and EMC best practices, competency with 3D CAD harness routing tools, understanding of enclosure design and material options, proficiency with NX/Teamcenter, and an active Top Secret Security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
