Archer is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer specializing in circuit analysis and simulation to join our team in San Jose, California. As a key member of our engineering department, you will contribute to the development of our all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, aimed at advancing sustainable air mobility.

In this role, you will perform Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) and margin analysis on control and measurement circuits, including microcontrollers, resolver interfaces, PMICs, power trees, voltage/current sensors, and digital communications. You will conduct circuit simulations using SPICE and MATLAB to validate designs across component tolerances, temperature extremes, and voltage variations. Additionally, you will lead Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) for control and sensor boards, collaborating with Safety and Reliability teams to identify and mitigate risks.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with over four years of experience in circuit analysis and simulation for mixed-signal control systems. Proficiency with SPICE simulation tools and MATLAB/Simulink is essential, along with a strong understanding of MCU control circuits, analog sensor interfaces, PMICs, power sequencing, and component derating principles. Experience working cross-functionally with Safety and Reliability teams on risk assessment and an understanding of aerospace or automotive safety standards are also required.
