Senior Embedded Software Engineer, Intelligence Systems (Bare Metal)
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their Intelligence Systems team in Reston, Virginia. This role involves developing low-level bare-metal infrastructure code and building a software ecosystem for next-generation hardware platforms powered by cutting-edge System-on-Chip devices. The Intelligence Systems team focuses on delivering specialized engineering solutions for Intelligence Community customers, aiming to address critical national security requirements.
Key responsibilities include designing and developing rigorously tested and validated bare-metal infrastructure code, performing board bring-up on embedded ARM boards (including bootloaders and drivers), customizing vendor Board Support Packages for ARM-based SoC platforms, securing embedded system devices, and developing and maintaining automated tests to ensure proper functionality of embedded systems.
Candidates must have experience with one or more of the following languages: Rust, C, C++, or ARMv7/ARMv8 assembly. Experience in developing bare-metal code, infrastructure, and drivers is essential. Additionally, candidates must currently possess and be able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include experience developing operating systems or portions thereof, a strong focus on security, experience with complex SoCs, implementing Control Flow Integrity, and familiarity with standard I/O interfaces such as UART, I2C, SPI, and eMMC.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $191,000 to $253,000 USD, along with highly competitive equity grants.
