Senior Engineer, AI Systems
Samsung Semiconductor's AGI Computing Lab is seeking a Senior Engineer, AI Systems to join their research-driven team focused on developing scalable platforms for future AI/ML workloads. This role involves designing and optimizing high-performance Triton kernels for large language model (LLM) workloads on modern accelerators, contributing to the advancement of artificial general intelligence.
The successful candidate will design, implement, and optimize Triton kernels, analyze kernel performance using profiling tools, and identify performance bottlenecks to propose concrete optimizations. Collaboration with hardware architects, compiler engineers, and ML researchers is essential to ensure end-to-end performance efficiency and to influence future accelerator and domain-specific language designs.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of industry experience, a Master's degree with 3+ years, or a PhD. Strong experience in writing high-performance Triton kernels for GPUs or other accelerators, a solid understanding of LLM fundamentals, and deep knowledge of accelerator hardware architecture are required. Proficiency in systems programming with Python and experience in hardware–software co-design or compiler-assisted optimization are also essential.
