The Senior Engineer (Infrastructure Management Services) at Kaseya is a pivotal role within the company's Infrastructure Management Services team, focusing on maintaining and enhancing the performance, stability, and security of IT systems. In this role, the Senior Engineer is responsible for server monitoring and troubleshooting across various Active Directory components and roles, including DNS, DHCP, Remote Desktop Services, DFS Replication, Active Directory Replication, and Group Policy Objects. The engineer will triage and resolve server performance alerts related to CPU, memory, disk, and service-level issues, manage disk space concerns, oversee Windows patching activities, plan and execute patching of virtual machines in Hyper-V clustering environments, monitor and troubleshoot backup jobs, participate in disaster recovery operations, provide support for virtualization platforms like Hyper-V and VMware, manage antivirus and security applications, apply basic networking knowledge to troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and document incidents and resolutions.
Candidates should have strong experience in Windows Server administration and Active Directory services, hands-on expertise in server monitoring and alert triage, solid knowledge of disk and storage management in Windows environments, in-depth understanding of Windows patch management and Exchange cumulative updates, experience with Hyper-V clustering and virtual machine management, practical experience in backup solutions and disaster recovery, working knowledge of virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V and VMware, experience supporting antivirus and endpoint security tools, a basic but solid understanding of networking concepts, and strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred qualifications include certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, VMware, Azure, or equivalent, experience in enterprise or managed services environments, and exposure to ITIL processes like Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
