Archer is seeking a Senior Engineer in Modeling & Simulation to join our team in San Jose, California. As a leading aerospace company, we are dedicated to developing all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft aimed at revolutionizing urban air mobility with sustainable solutions. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design and operation of aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

In this position, you will be responsible for developing flight simulation physics models for eVTOL aircraft, supporting vehicle-level trade studies, and updating system electrical, thermal, and performance models based on lab and flight test data to aid in vehicle certification. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal and external suppliers to integrate their systems into our comprehensive vehicle simulation and support design and analysis activities to ensure business and regulatory requirements are met with high confidence.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, with a Master's or PhD being highly desirable. A minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-physics simulation is required, along with expertise in numerical modeling and dynamic simulation of complex physical systems, particularly aerospace and mechanical systems. Proficiency in developing vehicle simulations in Simulink is essential, with additional experience in MATLAB, Python, and SimScape being advantageous. Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills, as well as experience in a fast-paced design environment, are also necessary.

Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
