The Senior Engineer, Performance Architecture role at Samsung Semiconductor's AGI Computing Lab focuses on addressing complex system-level challenges associated with future AI/ML workloads. Key responsibilities include modeling the architecture, performance, and power characteristics of Memory Centric Computing platforms. The engineer will develop and optimize models to explore extensive design spaces, analyze trade-offs among various architectural choices and workloads, and collaborate with architecture, design, and software engineers to ensure that performance, power, and area (PPA) metrics meet user requirements. Additionally, the role involves conducting research in emerging AI/ML technologies and Memory Centric Computing architectures, as well as effectively communicating with stakeholders to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery of systems.

Candidates should possess a strong background in computer architecture, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and at least 5 years of experience in silicon development, or a Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with relevant experience. Experience in developing and optimizing models for high-performance computing systems is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are required, as well as the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $138,000 to $206,000 annually, depending on factors such as location, knowledge, skills, experience, education, and training. In addition to base pay, employees are eligible for incentive opportunities based on individual and company performance.
