Samsung Semiconductor is seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in Register Transfer Level (RTL) design to join our Power & Thermal Lab in San Jose, California. This role focuses on developing advanced power macromodels for AI computing memory component IPs, contributing to our mission of advancing technology solutions across various applications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-fidelity RTL, SystemC, and C-based power macromodels using analytical modeling techniques. Key tasks include extracting power features from simulations, defining power-relevant functional states, supporting trace-driven power modeling, performing synthesis-assisted calibration, and validating macromodel accuracy against reference results. Collaboration with software engineers to align feature semantics and model interfaces is also essential.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience in RTL design, synthesis, and analysis using Verilog, SystemVerilog, or SystemC. A solid understanding of dynamic and leakage power mechanisms in CMOS and interconnects is required. Hands-on experience with logic synthesis and power analysis tools, as well as familiarity with power modeling tools from both academia and industry, is essential. Knowledge of power macromodeling, power estimation flows, or architectural power analysis is highly desirable.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $138,000 to $206,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
