Senior Engineer, Telecom Billing
Skylo Technologies is seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in Telecom Billing to join our team in Bangalore, India. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing billing systems that support our telecom services, ensuring accuracy and compliance. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with product and business teams to develop and maintain platforms managing mediation, rating, charging, invoicing, and revenue assurance.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining billing solutions for various telecom products, implementing and optimizing rating and charging logic, and working with mediation systems to ensure accurate processing of Call Detail Records (CDRs) and Event Detail Records (EDRs). The role also involves supporting real-time charging systems and integrating billing platforms with ERP, CRM, and payment gateways. Additionally, the engineer will ensure billing accuracy, prevent revenue leakage, and implement controls for taxation and interconnect billing.
The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on telecom billing systems. Hands-on experience with OSS/BSS stacks such as Amdocs, CSG, NetCracker, Ericsson BSCS, or Oracle BRM is essential. Strong programming skills in Java, C++, Go, or Python, along with experience in relational databases like Oracle, Postgres, or MySQL, are required. Familiarity with microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, and knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards relevant to telecom billing are also important.
