Senior Engineering Manager
Braze is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Canvas Logic and Execution (CLX) team, responsible for managing the full platform lifecycle of Canvas, our flagship product for marketing automation workflows. This mission-critical system processes billions of asynchronous jobs monthly, operating on a global infrastructure across multiple cloud providers. The role involves refining the platform based on user feedback and expanding its capabilities to support complex, personalized real-time workflows at scale.
The Senior Engineering Manager will contribute to the architecture, development, and optimization of the Canvas platform, ensuring best-in-class systems. Responsibilities include defining efficient processes, fostering the professional growth of engineers, and collaborating closely with Product Managers and Designers to align team efforts with core product objectives.
Candidates should have over five years of experience in engineering management with a strong track record of success. The role requires demonstrated technical leadership, the ability to drive iterative product development and engineering excellence, and experience architecting significant technical initiatives for large-scale platforms. Preferred qualifications include experience with distributed systems, MongoDB, Redis, Datadog, Kubernetes, React, Ruby, and Ruby on Rails.
Braze offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary between $153,000 and $270,300 per year, with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $180,000 and $318,000 per year, which includes bonuses or commissions. The comprehensive Total Rewards package also includes equity grants of restricted stock units (RSUs), ensuring employees have a stake in the company's success.
