Senior Engineering Manager

Braze is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Canvas Logic and Execution (CLX) team, responsible for our flagship marketing automation workflow product. This role involves managing a mission-critical, high-scale system that processes billions of asynchronous jobs monthly, operating on a global infrastructure across multiple cloud providers.

The Senior Engineering Manager will oversee the architecture, development, and optimization of the Canvas platform. Key responsibilities include refining the platform based on user feedback, expanding its capabilities to support complex, personalized real-time workflows, and ensuring the system's scalability and performance. The role also involves defining efficient processes, fostering team growth, and collaborating closely with Product Management and Design to align efforts with core product objectives.

Candidates should have over five years of experience in engineering management with a strong track record of success. Essential qualifications include technical leadership skills, experience in architecting large-scale platforms, and proficiency in agile processes. Preferred technical expertise encompasses distributed systems, MongoDB, Redis, Datadog, Kubernetes, React, Ruby, and Ruby on Rails.

Braze offers a competitive compensation package, including equity grants of restricted stock units (RSUs). The salary range for this position is between $153,000 and $270,300 per year, with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $180,000 and $318,000 annually, depending on factors such as location, experience, and skills.
