The Senior Facilities Engineer at Rocket Lab's Neutron manufacturing facility in Baltimore, MD, plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing infrastructure to support advanced aerospace manufacturing processes. This position ensures seamless integration of facility systems with production requirements, facilitating efficient operations in a low-flow, high-mix production environment.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing factory layouts, selecting and commissioning equipment to meet production needs, and translating manufacturing requirements into facility specifications such as electrical loads, HVAC systems, and utilities. The role also involves planning and executing capital projects for facility upgrades and applying Lean principles to optimize space, manpower, and resources. Collaboration with stakeholders to introduce automation and ensure integration with MRP and quality systems is essential.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering—preferably Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace—and have over five years of experience in facilities engineering or manufacturing environments. Proficiency with CAD systems like NX or SolidWorks and familiarity with Lean Manufacturing tools are required. Preferred qualifications include an advanced engineering degree, over eight years of relevant experience, and knowledge of composites manufacturing processes.

The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $108,000 to $135,000, determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
