Rocket Lab Corporation is seeking a Senior Facilities Technician to join our Optical Systems division in Tucson, AZ. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability and compliance of our facilities, supporting high-performance aerospace operations. The successful candidate will serve as the technical expert for HVAC and electrical infrastructure, contributing to our mission of delivering innovative space-based payload solutions.

The Senior Facilities Technician will be responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining HVAC and electrical infrastructure projects, including system installations, upgrades, and integrations. Key duties include leading complex troubleshooting efforts, coordinating with various departments to define project requirements and schedules, and ensuring all work complies with NEC, OSHA, and applicable building codes. Additionally, the role involves overseeing contractors, maintaining facility documentation, and supporting energy efficiency initiatives.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and have at least 8 years of experience in electrical and HVAC systems within an industrial or regulated environment. Experience supporting cleanroom environments is essential. Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems, commercial/industrial HVAC systems, and familiarity with NEC, OSHA, and building codes are required. The ability to independently lead and execute complex technical work and infrastructure projects is crucial.
