The Senior Finance Engineer at Spring Health is a pivotal role within the finance organization, reporting directly to the VP of Financial Planning & Analysis and the Chief of Staff to the CFO. This position is instrumental in designing and scaling the technical infrastructure that underpins the company's financial operations. The role bridges software engineering and financial strategy, focusing on developing AI-powered systems to modernize finance processes, enhance forecasting accuracy, and streamline operations through intelligent automation. This is a full-time hybrid position based in New York City, with an expectation of three days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities include designing, testing, and iterating automation systems across various financial functions such as forecasting, reporting, reconciliations, revenue recognition, accruals, and scenario modeling. The role involves automating month-end close workflows to reduce cycle times while strengthening controls and audit readiness. Additionally, the Senior Finance Engineer will develop intelligent dashboards and reporting systems that provide real-time visibility into financial performance, thereby accelerating finance team efficiency through AI and automation.

The ideal candidate will have over four years of experience in designing and deploying automation, AI, and/or machine learning systems within a finance context. A strong background in Financial Planning & Analysis, Strategic Finance, Accounting, or Finance Transformation is essential. Proficiency in GAAP, financial modeling, internal controls, and reporting processes is required. Experience with integrating ERP systems, planning tools, data warehouses, and automation platforms is also necessary. Familiarity with modern AI frameworks and a proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives are highly valued.

Spring Health offers a competitive compensation package, with a target base salary range of $159,100 to $179,000, complemented by equity and comprehensive benefits.
