Senior Financial Analyst
Banyan Software is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their dynamic team in London, England. As a rapidly growing software consolidator, Banyan focuses on acquiring and nurturing enterprise software businesses with dominant positions in niche vertical markets. The company operates over 120 portfolio companies across North and South America, Europe, and APAC, emphasizing a buy-and-hold-for-life strategy to preserve founder legacies and drive sustainable growth.
In this role, the Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate closely with operating and finance teams to support the financial operations of Banyan's portfolio companies. Key responsibilities include preparing timely and accurate GAAP financial statements, board reporting, budgets, and KPIs to inform strategic decision-making. The analyst will also perform quality assurance on financial and accounting work products, analyze budget-to-actuals, benchmark against portfolio standards, and provide insights to enhance operational performance. Additionally, the role involves supporting the integration of acquisitions, implementing process improvements, developing ad hoc reports and dashboards, and documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to promote best practices across the portfolio.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in a finance or accounting role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. A college degree in business, accounting, or finance is preferred, and an accounting designation is advantageous. Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage Intacct and/or QuickBooks is beneficial. The candidate should possess excellent attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a high level of motivation and energy, with a keen interest in entrepreneurship, software, and finance.
