Senior Frontend Engineer

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Zip Co Limited, you will lead the development of internal tools, component libraries, and robust SDKs, utilizing React, TypeScript, and Node.js. This role is integral to Zip's Internal Tooling squad, which focuses on creating high-impact tools that enhance the efficiency of Zipsters and maintain the high performance of internal systems.

Your primary responsibilities will include designing and maintaining high-performing internal applications, developing and evolving Zip's design system and reusable component libraries, modernizing build pipelines, and optimizing application performance. Additionally, you will mentor other engineers, championing best practices and fostering a culture of quality within the team.

The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of frontend engineering experience with React and TypeScript, proficiency with modern UI frameworks and component libraries, strong fundamentals in Node.js, and a deep understanding of modern CSS patterns. Exposure to GraphQL, API integration patterns, React Native, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and production monitoring tools is also desirable.
