The Senior Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) Engineer - Navigation and Estimation position at Anduril Industries is a critical role within the Air Dominance & Strike division. In this position, you will lead efforts to design, develop, and implement robust navigation and state estimation algorithms across a variety of unmanned aircraft systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating closely with flight software, autonomy, and sensor fusion teams, developing and validating GNC software, and supporting flight test campaigns. You will be responsible for modeling vehicle dynamics, integrating sensors, analyzing data, and optimizing algorithms to ensure the reliability and accuracy of navigation systems in real-world operational scenarios.
The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in aerospace engineering, robotics, or a related field, along with significant hands-on experience in GNC and state estimation for autonomous aircraft. Required skills include expertise in Kalman filtering, sensor fusion, and navigation algorithms, as well as proficiency with associated programming languages and simulation tools. Proven experience with flight tests, software-in-the-loop (SIL)/hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environments, and the ability to operate in a dynamic, mission-driven engineering setting are essential.
