The Senior Hardware Systems Engineer - Inverter AEH will join Archer’s cutting-edge engineering team to drive the development and integration of inverter hardware for advanced electric aircraft systems. Archer is an urban air mobility company dedicated to revolutionizing transportation with sustainable, electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. As part of a multidisciplinary group, you'll collaborate on systems that are central to Archer’s mission to create safe, efficient, and high-performance flight solutions for the future of mobility.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the specification, design, and validation of inverter systems for aircraft powertrains. Your day-to-day tasks will include working closely with electrical, mechanical, and software teams to ensure optimum system performance, reliability, and safety. You’ll conduct hardware design reviews, manage integration activities, oversee component selection, and resolve complex technical issues as they arise.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field, with significant experience in inverter or power electronics design, particularly for aerospace or automotive applications. Strong knowledge of high voltage systems, safety standards, electromagnetic compatibility, and experience with simulation and testing tools are essential. The position demands proven technical leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
