Rocket Lab Corporation is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to join our Neutron manufacturing facility in Baltimore, MD. This role is integral to the design and implementation of low-flow, high-mix production systems, focusing on product, process, and equipment manufacturing improvements. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of our Neutron launch vehicle, a medium-lift, reusable rocket designed for large constellation deployments.

Key responsibilities include driving the production system to ensure efficient use of space, manpower, and facilities resources. The role involves reviewing value stream mapping exercises, methods of manufacture plans, and cell designs. Additionally, the engineer will define and implement factory layouts, select equipment, and oversee factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and production commissioning. Translating manufacturing and process requirements into facilities specifications, such as electrical loads, HVAC needs, and utility provisions, is also essential.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering—preferably Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace—and have over five years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting production lines and build areas is required, along with proficiency in CAD systems like NX or SolidWorks. A strong background in applying Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies is also necessary.

Rocket Lab offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $108,000 to $135,000, determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Employees may also receive company equity and access to a robust benefits package, including top-tier medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid vacation and sick leave, paid holidays, flexible spending and dependent care savings accounts, paid parental leave, disability and life insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan with company match. Additional perks include a discounted employee stock purchase program and free onsite snacks and drinks.

Joining Rocket Lab means becoming part of a team dedicated to unlocking the potential of space to improve life on Earth. Our culture emphasizes hard work, determination, relentless innovation, teamwork, and grit. We thrive under pressure, work to tight deadlines, and focus on delivering results. If you're ready to push the boundaries of space technology and contribute to groundbreaking missions, we encourage you to apply.
