Senior iOS Engineer

As a Senior iOS Engineer at Monks, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining high-quality iOS applications that deliver reliable and performant mobile experiences. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement new features, enhance app stability, and contribute to technical decisions that align with product goals and elevate the user experience.

Your primary responsibilities will include developing, testing, and maintaining efficient Swift-based applications for iOS devices. You will work alongside designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to implement and refine new features, ensuring app performance, stability, and usability across various iOS devices and OS versions. Participation in code reviews, debugging, and resolving technical issues will be integral to your role, as well as contributing to architectural discussions and supporting technical decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have over five years of relevant mobile engineering experience, with a strong focus on iOS development. Proficiency in Swift, a solid understanding of iOS frameworks such as UIKit, SwiftUI, and Core Data, and experience with mobile architecture patterns like MVC and MVVM are essential. Practical experience integrating APIs, including REST and/or GraphQL, and familiarity with performance analysis tools such as Instruments are also required. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are crucial.
