Senior IT Systems Engineer I
Rocket Lab Corporation is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer I to join our dynamic team in Albuquerque, NM. As a leading end-to-end space company, Rocket Lab delivers responsive launch services, complete spacecraft design and manufacturing, and satellite components, aiming to open access to space. Our IT team plays a crucial role in supporting global operations across various computer systems, networks, and devices.
In this role, you will provide subject matter expertise to deliver and support IT systems through efficient management of cloud infrastructure and project delivery. Responsibilities include carrying out upgrades and maintenance with a focus on continuous improvement to ensure a reliable and secure infrastructure. You will also lead project planning and deployment for infrastructure projects and collaborate with a team of world-class IT, engineering, and business professionals.
The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience and a bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience totaling 9+ years. In-depth knowledge of Windows Server Administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, Certificate Management (PKI), DNS, and DHCP, is required. Experience with AWS and/or O365 & Azure enterprise environments is essential. Proficiency in one or more of the following areas is also necessary: Kubernetes, VMware, Linux, Configuration Management, Automation, and/or Infrastructure as Code. Additionally, expertise in server and storage hardware, backups, NetApp, Pure Storage, hyperconverged infrastructure, and VOIP phone systems is expected.
