Archer is seeking a Senior Landing Gear System Design Engineer to join our team in San Jose, California. As a leading aerospace company, we are developing an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft designed to carry four passengers with minimal noise, aiming to revolutionize sustainable air mobility.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing the aircraft's Landing Gear and Brake Control Systems. Your duties will include designing and implementing flight hardware, test stands, procedures, and reports for qualification, certification, and production applications. You will also coordinate with suppliers, manage technical deliverables, and conduct performance analyses such as braking energy and multibody dynamic landing analysis.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and have over five years of experience in mechanical design, specifically in landing gear and brake system design. Demonstrated leadership in engineering projects and the ability to proactively seek out critical information for challenging tasks are essential. Proficiency in CAD tools, kinematic analysis, structural analysis, and design for manufacturing and assembly is also required.

We offer a competitive base salary ranging from $140,000 to $180,000, determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional benefits include performance bonuses and opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic and innovative environment.
