Senior Legal Counsel - Employment Law
As a Senior Legal Counsel specializing in Employment Law at Adyen's Amsterdam office, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company's global employment law strategy. Embedded within the People team, you will provide expert legal advice to ensure that Adyen's employment practices are compliant, scalable, and supportive of its ambitious growth and high-performance culture.
Your key responsibilities will include developing and implementing a global employment law strategy aligned with Adyen's rapid expansion, advising on the full employee lifecycle—from recruitment to post-employment obligations—and leading complex employee relations issues such as investigations and performance management. Additionally, you will collaborate with the HR and Rewards team on equity structures and incentive plans, and deliver training programs on employment law trends and compliance best practices.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of corporate legal experience, preferably as in-house counsel in an international setting, with specialization in Dutch labor law. Experience advising senior leadership and engaging with Dutch Works Councils is essential. Strong business acumen, excellent analytical and communication skills, and fluency in both English and Dutch are required. The role demands the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a continuous learning mindset.
