Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Sentry Tower
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join the Counter Intrusion MSE team, focusing on developing advanced force protection systems. This role involves creating solutions that monitor the perimeters of secure areas, both on land and at sea, to detect and track approaching individuals, vehicles, and vessels. The engineer will contribute to Anduril's mission of transforming defense capabilities through cutting-edge technology.
The primary responsibilities include designing and training multi-sensor object detection models optimized for edge computing devices, developing learning algorithms to enhance autonomous system behaviors, and overseeing the entire machine learning stack. This encompasses the infrastructure for data collection, training, and deployment. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as product, engineering, sales, logistics, operations, and mission success is essential to ensure the seamless integration and performance of the systems.
Candidates must possess a Master's or PhD in Machine Learning, Robotics, or Computer Science with a focus on Computer Vision, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field. A minimum of six years of experience in developing, benchmarking, and optimizing machine learning algorithms on large-scale datasets is required. Proficiency in C++ development within a Linux environment, experience with Python and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, JAX, and TensorFlow, and a strong background in deep learning and computer vision are essential. Additionally, eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance is necessary.
The position offers a competitive salary range between $191,000 and $253,000 USD, along with highly competitive equity grants.
