Senior Manager, Data Warehousing
Envoy Global is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Warehousing to lead a team of data engineers in designing, building, and optimizing scalable data platforms that support analytics, reporting, and enterprise-wide data initiatives. As a key member of the Data & Analytics sub-department, this role will shape Envoy’s data engineering roadmap and ensure the delivery of high-quality, secure, and reliable data assets. The position is based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
The Senior Manager will be responsible for planning and developing the technical roadmap for data and analytics platforms. Key responsibilities include leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of data engineering pipelines in an Azure environment, integrating various data sources, and building robust data models that support dimensional model data warehouse operations. Collaboration with Data Analytics, DataOps, Architecture, Engineering, and DevOps teams is essential to deliver high-quality data platforms that enable analytics solutions for the business. The role also involves ensuring data engineering standards align with established principles of data governance, data quality, and data security, as well as monitoring and optimizing the performance of data pipelines to meet SLAs regarding data availability and quality. Additionally, the Senior Manager will hire, manage, and mentor a team of Data Engineers and Data Quality Engineers, and participate in an Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality releases every few weeks.
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of technical experience in cloud-based data warehouse/data lake platforms such as AWS, Snowflake, or Azure Synapse, and at least 8 years of ETL experience using tools like SSIS, ADF, or equivalents. A strong understanding of data modeling and data warehouse concepts is required, along with demonstrated ability to write SQL/TSQL queries to retrieve or modify data. Experience troubleshooting potential issues and knowledge of best practices around database operations are essential. The ability to work in an Agile environment, learn new tools and technologies, and adapt to an evolving tech landscape is important. Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SpotFire, TIBCO, QlikView, MicroStrategy, Information Builders, or other reporting and analytical tools is a plus. A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Data Analytics is required, along with over 10 years of experience as a Data Engineer, including more than 3 years in a managerial role.
