Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering, Space
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering to lead manufacturing efforts across multiple critical space programs. This role requires a visionary leader with deep technical expertise in aerospace manufacturing and a proven track record of transitioning complex space-qualified hardware from prototype to production. The Senior Manager will oversee manufacturing engineering teams, ensuring the successful fabrication, assembly, integration, and testing of high-reliability space components and systems.
Key responsibilities include recruiting, mentoring, and leading a high-performing team of manufacturing and integration engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. The role involves developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for complex, high-precision space-qualified hardware, such as structures, propulsion systems, avionics, thermal systems, and optical components. Additionally, the Senior Manager will drive the vision and strategy for expanding Anduril's space program, identifying new opportunities and areas for innovation.
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in a technical field such as engineering, mathematics, or a hard science, and have at least 8 years of experience in space and satellite manufacturing, systems engineering, or electromechanical hardware design. Demonstrated ability to deliver electromechanical hardware in resource-constrained environments, experience in space vehicle integration and environmental testing, and a background in avionics or optical payload integration are essential. Proven team leadership skills and personal experience in manufacturing hardware through various methods are also required.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $166,000 to $220,000 USD, with actual offers varying based on factors such as experience and skills. Highly competitive equity grants are included in most full-time offers.
