Senior Manager - Media Activation
The Senior Manager - Media Activation at WPP Media plays a pivotal role in overseeing the execution of paid media campaigns, ensuring they align with client objectives and industry best practices. This position is integral to the Media Activation team, a group of accredited digital practitioners dedicated to delivering executional excellence and industry-leading benchmarks. WPP Media, as WPP's AI-driven media operating unit, combines media, data, and partnerships to provide creative personalization at scale, helping clients navigate change and achieve transformational growth.
Key responsibilities include developing comprehensive paid social media plans that align with client objectives and KPIs, clearly articulating the rationale for proposed campaign tactics, and presenting these to stakeholders. The role involves end-to-end setup of paid media campaigns across relevant platforms, ensuring regular quality assurance checks, monitoring campaign performance, troubleshooting, and optimizing campaigns to improve performance. Additionally, the Senior Manager is responsible for producing detailed and accurate campaign performance reports, leading client calls to present results, and providing insightful performance commentary with actionable recommendations.
The ideal candidate should have 6-7 years of experience in a digital marketing or agency-based role, demonstrating a track record of working with clients or external stakeholders. Extensive experience in setting up and optimizing paid social campaigns across key biddable platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snap, and TikTok is essential. Training certifications in any of these platforms would be advantageous. The candidate should also have experience in planning large-scale paid media campaigns, compiling detailed and insightful end-of-campaign reports, and possess strong relationship-building skills, comfortable presenting to clients and leading calls as required. Teamwork is crucial, and the candidate should be collaborative, friendly, and have a can-do attitude. Experience in line managing individuals and/or training others across paid media would be preferable.
