Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Torso

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Torso, at Agility Robotics will play a pivotal role in the production of Digit, the company's advanced humanoid robot. This position is based at RoboFab, Agility's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Salem, Oregon, which is dedicated to producing humanoid robots at scale. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance manufacturing processes and ensure the highest quality standards in torso assembly.

Key responsibilities include developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for the robot's torso, implementing quality control measures, and troubleshooting production issues. The role also involves collaborating with design and engineering teams to refine product designs for manufacturability and efficiency. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for training production staff and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, along with at least five years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in robotics or complex electromechanical systems. Proficiency in CAD software, a strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, and excellent problem-solving skills are essential. Experience with automation and robotics integration in manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
