Senior Materials and Process Engineer, Space
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Materials and Process Engineer to join our Space team, dedicated to enhancing Space Domain Awareness, Space Control, and Command and Control for U.S. military and allied partners. We are developing integrated hardware and software systems, including Lattice for Space Missions and modular payloads, to address emerging threats in space and ensure our Guardians maintain a decisive advantage in this contested domain.
In this role, you will establish and maintain material and process standards, including approved materials lists, common material coatings, and corrosion prevention requirements. You will develop hardware design standards, create comprehensive technical documentation, and design and conduct testing to establish material performance properties. Additionally, you will manage relationships with internal and external test laboratories for materials characterization and failure analysis.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field, along with at least 4 years of hands-on experience with space hardware materials, processes, and contamination control. A strong foundation in materials science principles, familiarity with space industry standards, and the ability to design experiments and analyze data are essential. Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance is required.
Anduril offers a competitive salary range of $132,000 to $198,000, along with highly competitive equity grants.
