Senior Mechanical Engineer
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team, focusing on the design and development of advanced detection systems utilizing LIDAR technology. This role involves collaborating with the Imaging team to enhance detection capabilities for various applications, contributing to our mission of transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology.
Key responsibilities include owning hardware from concept generation to real-world deployment, developing cutting-edge infrared sensors for detection applications, and leading system integration activities into LIDAR and detection platforms, including various vehicles. The engineer will also build prototypes, analyze failures, transition successful projects into production, and support critical hardware demonstrations with customers as needed.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with 8+ years of experience in design, hardware, or integrated product development and testing. Proficiency in CAD with the ability to create high-quality engineering drawings, understanding of thermal and structural analysis, hands-on fabrication skills, and experience integrating electronic components into mechanical designs are essential. Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance is required.
Anduril offers a competitive salary range of $126,000 to $167,000 USD, along with highly competitive equity grants.
