Rocket Lab Corporation is seeking a Senior Mechanical Technician to join our team at the Space Structures Complex in Middle River, Maryland. This role is integral to the production of the Neutron Launch Vehicle, a medium-lift, reusable rocket designed to deliver the mega constellations of tomorrow. As a Senior Mechanical Technician, you will collaborate with a high-caliber, cross-functional team dedicated to advancing space exploration and technology.

In this position, you will be responsible for building mechanical structures and related components essential to the Neutron Launch Vehicle. Your day-to-day tasks will include integrating mechanical hardware, upholding shop cleanliness and organization, and utilizing proper personal protective equipment (PPE). You will have the unique opportunity to witness the hardware you build evolve into a completed rocket that reaches space.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED and have at least 5 years of experience in mechanical assembly, technical repair, mechanical maintenance, or similar roles within a highly regulated manufacturing or maintenance environment. Familiarity with hand, power, pneumatic, and inspection tools is essential. Additional qualifications such as an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification and experience in the aerospace industry are advantageous.

Rocket Lab offers a competitive compensation package, including a base pay range of $30 to $38 per hour for positions in Maryland.
