Senior Mobile Engineer (Android)
EarnIn is seeking a passionate Senior Android Engineer to join the Live Pay team, focusing on enhancing the flagship Android application. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, user-centered experiences that align with EarnIn's mission of providing real-time financial flexibility to its community members.
The Senior Android Engineer will be responsible for building, shipping, and maintaining Android product features that improve the customer experience. Key responsibilities include contributing to mobile architecture and platform improvements, integrating performant and reliable APIs in collaboration with backend engineers, and partnering with Product and UX teams to deliver thoughtful, accessible, and polished user interfaces. The role also involves upholding engineering best practices through code reviews, maintaining readable code, and ensuring maintainable abstractions.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android development, including Coroutines/Flow, is required. Practical experience with Android app architectures such as MVVM, MVI, MVP, or Clean Architecture, and Jetpack components is essential. A solid understanding of Android UI, including XML layouts and Jetpack Compose, is necessary. Applicants should have 4+ years of industry experience building, shipping, and maintaining Android applications at scale.
The position offers a Canada base salary range of $199,000 to $244,000, plus equity and benefits.
