Skylo Technologies is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our Network Design and Planning team in Espoo, Finland. As a key contributor, you will help plan, design, and evolve our satellite communication network infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and high performance to meet current and future customer demands and business objectives. This role offers the opportunity to define the architecture and technical roadmap for a pioneering commercial direct-to-device satellite network.

In this position, you will define the end-to-end network architecture for our satellite communication infrastructure, including Base Station, Ground Station, Core Network, and Cloud Application integrations for Non-Terrestrial Networks. Your responsibilities will include creating technical specifications, engineering plans, and detailed designs for network elements, optimizing existing networks for cost-efficiency and performance, conducting technical evaluations, and leading a small team of engineers to ensure project deliverables align with company goals.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in network design and planning within cellular telecommunications, preferably with a mobile network operator or a vendor providing equipment and services to such operators. Experience with Non-Terrestrial Networks is highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in defining end-to-end network architecture, familiarity with 3GPP standards, cloud-native architectures, and network virtualization, as well as strong analytical and communication skills, are essential. Hands-on experience with LTE eNodeB, 5G gNodeB, EPC Core, 5G Core, and cloud technologies like Virtual Machines, Docker, and Kubernetes is also required.
