Senior Offensive Security Engineer
Chime is seeking a Senior Offensive Security Engineer to lead its Offensive Security program. In this role, you will proactively assess Chime's services, applications, and infrastructure to identify and report security vulnerabilities. This position offers an opportunity to enhance both technical and leadership skills within a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Key responsibilities include independently managing comprehensive red team exercises, collaborating with various departments to drive security improvements, researching emerging attack vectors, and developing custom payloads and exploits. You will emulate adversaries by targeting web applications, cloud platforms, and supporting services, and work closely with detection engineers to build high-fidelity alerting systems. Participation in purple-team exercises to mature the security program is also expected.
The ideal candidate will have over four years of experience in offensive security, red teaming, or application security roles. Proficiency in conducting cloud-based attacks, developing custom tools to bypass defensive products, and performing unsupervised red team engagements is essential. Strong communication skills to explain vulnerabilities to non-technical stakeholders are required. Relevant certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, OSEE, CRTO, or GRTP are advantageous.
The base salary for this role ranges from $181,000 to $250,000, with eligibility for bonuses, equity packages, and comprehensive benefits.
