As a Senior Offensive Security Engineer at Huntress, you will play a pivotal role in assessing and enhancing the company's security posture against sophisticated cyber threats. This position involves collaborating with internal security and product teams to identify vulnerabilities and strengthen defenses across all organizational systems. Huntress, founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, is dedicated to providing enterprise-grade cybersecurity solutions to businesses of all sizes, protecting over 5 million endpoints and 11 million identities worldwide.

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include planning and executing red and purple team engagements to simulate advanced adversarial tactics, performing comprehensive penetration tests on web applications, endpoint agents, and internal systems, and developing custom tools to replicate cyber threats. You will also conduct social engineering campaigns to assess human vulnerabilities and collaborate closely with the Security Operations Center and CSIRT teams to enhance detection and response capabilities. Staying informed on emerging threats and updating red teaming methodologies will be essential to your day-to-day work.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience as an offensive security professional, with deep knowledge of adversarial tradecraft and expertise in cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure. Proficiency in scripting languages and a documentation-first mindset are crucial. Strong communication skills are necessary to effectively convey findings and inform defensive strategies. Experience working in a primarily macOS environment is considered a significant asset.

Huntress offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $170,000 to $185,000, plus bonus and equity. Additional benefits include a 100% remote work environment, generous paid time off, 12 weeks of paid parental leave, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, a 401(k) with a 5% contribution regardless of employee input, life and disability insurance, stock options for full-time employees, and various allowances for home office setup and professional development.

Joining Huntress means becoming part of a fully remote, global team committed to breaking down barriers in cybersecurity. The company fosters a culture of inclusivity, valuing each team member's voice and empowering them to make a real difference in the security landscape. With a mission to protect businesses from cyber threats, Huntress provides ample opportunities for growth and professional development in a dynamic and supportive environment.
