Staff Cloud Security Engineer
Huntress is seeking a Staff Cloud Security Engineer to join our fully remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for securing the cloud-native infrastructure that powers our SaaS platform and internal processes. This position is ideal for a hands-on engineer passionate about designing, building, and defending highly scalable and secure cloud environments.
As a key member of the internal product security team, you will drive effective security detection and response across our production platform. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing architectural security standards for AWS, Azure, and PaaS cloud platforms, collaborating with DevOps and Platform teams to integrate security into the infrastructure-as-code lifecycle, and managing a robust vulnerability management program tailored to our cloud environments. Additionally, you will develop strategies to respond to and recover from security incidents and own cloud security controls end-to-end.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within a fast-paced SaaS company and possess extensive knowledge of AWS and/or Azure, with demonstrated expertise in designing secure cloud, application, and system architectures. Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Spacelift, as well as scripting languages like Python or Go, is essential. Strong collaboration and communication skills are required to effectively engage with cross-functional teams in a remote work environment.
Huntress offers a competitive compensation range of $165,000 to $193,000 base salary, plus bonus and equity.
