The Senior Partner Development Manager at Block is a pivotal role within the Reseller Channel Partnerships team, focusing on expanding Square's reach through strategic partnerships with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and resellers. This position is integral to driving the distribution of Square's comprehensive suite of products, including payment solutions, inventory management, and financial services, by leveraging the Global ISV Community. The role reports directly to the Head of Channel Partnerships and offers significant exposure to company leadership.

Key responsibilities include proactively identifying and recruiting ISVs and resellers to establish new distribution channels. The manager will lead all aspects of deal execution, from target identification and prospecting to negotiation, contracting, and partnership launch. Collaboration with internal teams such as Product Management, Marketing, Finance, Sales, and Legal is essential to ensure the success and scalability of these partnerships. The role also entails accountability for the business outcomes resulting from these collaborations.

Candidates should possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in establishing and growing distribution partnerships with ISOs, ISVs, and VARs, leading to measurable customer acquisition and revenue growth. A deep understanding of operating models related to merchant or partner onboarding, compliance, and contracts is required. Strong analytical skills to demonstrate return on investment for partner initiatives, excellent project management capabilities, strategic thinking to identify new growth opportunities, and outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills are also essential. A background in the fintech or payments industry and an MBA or equivalent advanced degree are preferred.
