The Senior People Business Partner at Archer serves as a strategic and hands-on HR leader supporting the engineering organization. This role partners closely with engineering leadership to drive organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategies that enable rapid growth and operational excellence. The position executes key people initiatives across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, leadership coaching, employee relations, policy execution, compliance, and offboarding, while building scalable processes and improving systems in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong data-driven decision making, credibility with technical leaders, and the ability to balance strategic influence with tactical execution. This position is based on-site five days per week, partnering closely with leaders and teams to support a high-growth engineering organization.

Key responsibilities include acting as a dedicated consultant to engineering leadership, aligning people strategies with technical roadmaps to drive organizational success. The role involves partnering with leaders to critically evaluate team structures, headcount planning, and talent makeup to ensure the organization scales efficiently. Managing employee relations matters and providing direct coaching to managers of all levels on management effectiveness and team health are also essential duties. Additionally, the position requires collaboration with People Centers of Excellence to design and deploy programs tailored to the unique needs of technical and fast-growing teams. Proactive problem-solving, utilizing people analytics to influence leadership decisions, and continuously improving processes are integral parts of the role.

Required qualifications include a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to build a business case and influence senior leadership, are essential. The candidate should have a proven ability to manage high-volume, complex workloads in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality or attention to detail. Maintaining a high degree of confidentiality, working independently, multi-tasking, and following up on a wide range of issues are also necessary skills. This is an in-office role based at Archer's San Jose headquarters, requiring someone who thrives on real-time collaboration and high visibility.

Compensation for this position includes a base pay between $130,800 and $163,500, determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
