Archer is seeking a Senior Powertrain Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in San Jose, California. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will play a pivotal role in scaling the production of our Electric Propulsion System (EPS), which includes the Electric Motor and Propeller assemblies. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge eVTOL aircraft in a dynamic and innovative environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and scaling the EPS production line from concept to high-rate manufacturing. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring new electric motor and propeller systems into production, developing comprehensive manufacturing build plans, specifying and validating automation systems, and authoring detailed work instructions for EPS assembly and installation. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the EV, aerospace, or advanced hardware production sectors. Hands-on experience in equipment commissioning, OEE improvement, and maintenance program development is essential. Proficiency in CAD, PLM, MES, and ERP systems, as well as a strong foundation in GD&T and statistical process control, are also required. Excellent communication and documentation skills, coupled with a self-starter attitude, will enable success in our fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

Archer offers a competitive base salary ranging from $126,700 to $158,400, with actual compensation determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
