Senior Product Designer, Platform
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join their centralized Software Product Design & Research team in Seattle, Washington. This team plays a pivotal role in ensuring that Anduril's software products and workflows scale effectively across various platforms, mission types, and domains. As a Senior Product Designer, you will be instrumental in shaping user experiences that support complex military operations, contributing to Anduril's mission of transforming defense capabilities through advanced technology.
In this role, you will drive the end-to-end user experience for platform initiatives, internal R&D projects, or vertical product investments. Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with engineering and product management teams, leading the definition of high-impact product experiences, and engaging with end users to align on their needs. You will also mentor design peers, contribute to design critiques, and partner with the design systems team to evolve the underlying platform.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in product design, user experience, or human-computer interaction, with a proven ability to execute high-quality, technically informed solutions. Deep expertise in visual and interaction design, a systems-thinking mindset, and strong prototyping skills are essential. The ability to communicate the rationale behind design decisions and a portfolio demonstrating attention to craft and interaction details are also required. No prior defense experience is necessary; Anduril values diverse perspectives in tackling challenging problems.
Anduril offers a competitive salary range of $166,000 to $220,000 USD for this position. The compensation package includes highly competitive equity grants and top-tier benefits for full-time employees. These benefits encompass comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans at little to no cost, generous paid time off, family planning and parenting support, mental health resources, professional development stipends, and more.
Joining Anduril means becoming part of a company dedicated to revolutionizing defense technology by bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. The company fosters a collaborative environment where designers have an immediate impact on real-world operations, designing novel interactions that explore the boundaries of human-to-machine control.
