Senior Product Engineer - Guardians
Bitso is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join the Guardians team, focusing on developing and enhancing systems that ensure user and platform security. This role involves working on key areas such as Know Your Customer (KYC), account security, fraud prevention, and internal account management tools. As a leading cryptocurrency platform in Latin America, Bitso is dedicated to making crypto useful and accessible to a broad audience.
In this position, you will be responsible for designing and delivering features across the entire technology stack, including database schemas, backend services, backend-for-frontend (BFF) layers, and frontend interfaces. Utilizing AI tools like Claude, Copilot, and Cursor, you will enhance development efficiency and code quality. Your day-to-day tasks will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement secure and scalable solutions, troubleshooting production issues, and continuously improving system performance.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of professional software engineering experience across both backend and frontend systems, including mobile platforms. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is required. Proficiency in Java and TypeScript, experience with cloud architectures (AWS), microservices, distributed systems, and relational databases like PostgreSQL are essential. Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns, is also necessary.
