Senior Product Manager, Notifications
Duolingo is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead its Notifications Team, a pivotal group within the company's Growth division. This team plays a crucial role in enhancing user retention and engagement by delivering timely and personalized notifications to learners. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping the strategy and execution of notification systems that reach millions of users worldwide.
In this role, you will own the product strategy and execution for major notification surfaces, identifying opportunities, and driving the development of new features. Your responsibilities will include leading the team's roadmap across high-impact workstreams such as new notification types, opt-in and reach optimization, email integration, and exploring alternative channels. Collaboration with cross-functional partners—including engineers, data scientists, machine learning experts, designers, and product writers—is essential to create more effective and engaging notification experiences.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a Product Manager in consumer mobile products, with significant experience in managing notification systems or related lifecycle outreach. A strong understanding of personalized or machine learning-driven messaging systems is crucial. Candidates should possess excellent product instincts, analytical judgment, and the ability to use experimentation and data analysis to inform decisions. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Design, Psychology, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
